LAFAYETTE ~ Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at The Family Church in Lafayette (223 Stone Ave. Lafayette, LA 70507) for Taylan Joel Broussard, age 22, who passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Lafayette.

Pastor Jay Miller of The Family Church in Lafayette will officiate the services.

Taylan was born on December 29, 1999, to Brad and Angel Broussard. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette and graduate of David Thibodeaux Stem Academy. Taylan worked as salesman for All Wood Furniture. Taylan’s gentle spirit, funny personality, and kind heart were qualities that made him a good friend, a special son, and the best big cousin. Taylan had a love for life that was contagious, he loved people, had a heart of servanthood, and his grandparents always held a special place in his heart. Enjoying the outdoors, Taylan spent much of his time fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle into the sunset. He was avid gamer that was well known in the gaming community and will be greatly missed by the many friends he made all over the world through gaming. When you think of Taylan, celebrate the good memories, the ones that make you laugh. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

Survivors include his parents, Brad and Angel Angelle Broussard; three uncles, Mark Angelle, Jr., who was also Taylan’s Godfather, Brian Broussard (Kim), and B.J. Broussard (Angela); his cousin and Godmother, Sarah Boudreaux; his maternal grandparents, Mark and Sharon Angelle; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Charlotte Broussard; and his cousins, Loni Angelle, Gabe Broussard, Araby Broussard, Ethan Broussard, Drew Broussard, Gabby Boudreaux, and Gavin Boudreaux.

He was preceded in death by his great uncle, Randy Angelle; his great aunt, Deborah Keely; his paternal grandmother, Sanette Menard Broussard; his maternal great grandparents, Claude and Mary Angelle, Benjamin Miller, and Betty Guidry; his paternal great grandparents, Rodney and Dorothy Broussard, and Clifford and Lovenia Menard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at (223 Stone Ave. Lafayette, LA 70507) from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Gabe Broussard, Ethan Broussard, Logan Guillory, Connor Champagne, Josh Primeaux, and Dakota Fontenot.
