I think of Sue with the spirit she had as a fourth grader at Coleman School in the fifties. Condolences to her husband and daughters. Rest in peace Sue.

Jim, my husband, Bob, and I are both sorry for your loss. Sue, Bob and I attended Jr. High and High School together, and in my case, even elementary school from the 3rd grade on. Everything in her biography is quite accurate. Sue was always smart, especially in math, and I’ll always remember her love of horses. It is terribly sad to lose another classmate, especially one who gave back so generously to her community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter at this time. You have our deepest sympathy.
Karen (Scolari) and Bob Drury.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Our families in Glen Rock were close. We lived on the same block and we graduated together.
I have fond memories playing with Sue, her horse collection and her cat Joe. My prayers go out to you.

I’m so sorry to hear of Susan’s passing. She lived just up the street from us on Delmar Avenue and was an early friend of mine. She loved playing with her corral of horses, creating trails and jumps and obstacles in the dirt. There was a lot of dirt to play in before Coleman Elementary was built and Pinelyn road continued through from the corner where I lived. There were a bunch of girls our age in just the dozen houses between us: Kathy and her sister Barbara Lane, Mary Ellen Cole, Jym and Lynn, and boys, too. I remember Susan’s father growing corn in the back yard. I don’t remember how successful it was, but I was suitably impressed. Susan and I had an easy connection at the last reunion. My sympathy and prayers to Jim and Jamie.

I am so sorry for your sudden loss. I haven’t seen Sue since high school but your description of her as very intelligent, energetic, and loving held true even then. She was a great human being.

I am saddened to hear of Susan´s passing. I met her through Kalamazoo Valley Genealogy Society, where she enriched us all with her knowledge on multiple subjects. We all went away with something that helped us in our family research. We will never forget her for her generosity and friendship. Prayers for her family as they walk through their grief.
