Steve Andrews Obituary

Steven Russell Andrews

 Steven Russell Andrews

Steven Russell Andrews, age 28, beloved father, husband, son and brother, died along with his beautiful and loving wife, Michelle, on December 27, 2005. Steve met Michelle on their first day of college, and they knew they were meant for each other shortly afterwards. They were married on June 24, 2000, and were blessed with the birth of Lukasz on October 8, 2003. They moved to Florida in 2004 so that Steve could join a landscape architecture firm and their young family could be closer to the ocean. Steve’s desire to learn combined with his natural sense for building relationships advanced him quickly in his career. Steve graduated from Edina High School in 1995 and the University of North Dakota in 1999. He received a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Minnesota in 2004. His love of music led him to become an accomplished guitar player, and this Christmas he bought two-year-old Luke his first guitar. Steve was active in scouting for many years and became an Eagle Scout in 1995. He enjoyed hockey, football, camping, backpacking, church youth groups, laughing and sharing popcorn with family and friends. In fact, he always believed that a bowl of popcorn could solve any problem. Steve inherited his mother’s sparkle and story-telling skill; he loved sharing family anecdotes and laughing with everyone. He took annual outings with his father, and the two of them recently climbed the highest peak in Colorado. His big sister, Jennie, always kept a protective eye on him, and they shared many musical and outdoor activities. He is survived by son, Lukasz, parents, Russell and Barbara Andrews, sister, Jennifer Andrews, paternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and the entire Kokora family. Memorials are preferred to the Luke Andrews Trust at any Bank of America branch. Visitation in Minneapolis 4-8PM, Tuesday, January 10 at The Church of St. Thomas the Apostle 2914 West 44th Street, Minneapolis MN. Memorial service 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Jan 11, 2006 at The Church of the Epiphany 1900 111th & Coon Rapids Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN. Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, 763-767-1000
