Marion Strong had one of the funniest laughs that I have ever heard. With that she actually stole a bit of the show from Lucy (Great going Shirley!) Plus her hats still make us laugh! When Lucy, Ethel, Carolyn Appleby and Marion Strong got together it was pure bedlam and refinement for us! Thanks Shirley for taking us away from our pains and giving us some great laughs!

For the past few weeks I have been enjoying Shirley Mitchell as “Leila Ransom”, the heartthrob of radio’s The Great Gildersleeve from the 1940’s. What a great show that was and how she wrapped Gildy around her little finger. I was sad to see her obituary. What a nice long life and career she had. God bless her family.

With humble hearts and deep sadness we say goodbye to the end of an era, the sitcom “I Love Lucy Show.” Shirley really looked well for her age; she lived well. May the family and close friends of Shirley find comfort in knowing that God made hope for the dead possible by sending his Son to die for us.–John 3:16.

Shirley was such a character and she is dearly missed. Romans 15:33.

I believe this was the ‘I Love Lucy’ character, Marion Strong. She was so great at her craft.

I hated her character; all so crass & haughty! She fit in the many calamities in which Lucy & Ethel would be found. A great actress who played her (often miniscule) part to the hilt.

It’s sad that she was the last of the cast of ‘I Love Lucy’ – but, they’re all performing comedy in Heaven, and the Angels are laughing!
