Snapped: Keana Barnes New Orleans Murder – Parents and PJ Jennings Update
Barnes is a woman who became friends with James Shepherd and P.J. Perry Jennings and later murdered them. She stabbed Shepherd to death, whereas she shot Jennings to his head.
Keana got sentenced to 25 years in jail for the murder of Perry Jennings and James Robert Shepherd. She escaped and fleed Mexico in 2013 but was later caught in Los Angeles. Keana got deported to Louisiana after the capture.

Keana Barnes’s case aired on the TV docu-series, Snapped on December 3, 2017. Season 22, Episode 3, of the docu-series told the story of how two men helped our a damsel in distress and ended up getting murdered.
As per the show’s IMDb profile, the cast included Detective Sergeant Ronald M. Ruiz Jr. Jenna Cedicci is the executive producer of the show.
Keana was serving a 25-year sentence at the Lousiana Correctional Institute for Women, when she escaped the prison on January 1, 2013. She broke her dorm room window and climbed out of it. She climbed over the premier gate and escaped the prison.
Barnes was captured in late March that year and got taken into the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The TV one’s Fatal Attraction also aired the case in their episode, The Helping Hand. The crime show included experts and investigators retracing the murder.

Barnes was added to the US Marshals Service’s 15 Most Wanted Fugitive list in March 2013, reports WDSU .
Keana Barnes Murdered PJ Jennings: Updates Revealed
Keana Barnes became friends with P.J. Jennings and James Robert Shepherd in New Orleans. She stabbed James to death in 2003 at his Irish Bayou home.
She shot P.J. Jennings in his head and wrapped his body in bed covers in his Algiers home in 2004. His mother found the body and immediately contacted the police.
Jennings was a former US soldier who always tried to help people in need. His helpful spirit led to his murder, as he was found dead in his apartment. The police found a strange piece of paper in his pocket that led them to capture the murderer.
Talking about the case update, Keana is currently in jail serving her sentence.
